Privacy Policy
PointCrunch is a static website. We built it to collect as little about you as possible, and this page explains exactly what that means. It is written to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
Nothing you type. The Site has no accounts, no sign-up, no comments, no newsletter form and no payment. We do not ask for your name, email, spending or financial details anywhere on the Site.
Server logs. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, and may retain it briefly for security and performance. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or store these logs ourselves.
No analytics or advertising trackers. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, social-media widgets or any third-party tracking script. If we add privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics in the future, we will say so here first.
Cookies
The Site does not set cookies for tracking, advertising or personalization. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes (for example to distinguish humans from bots during an attack). Your browser's local storage is used only if a future tool, such as a rewards calculator, needs to remember what you typed; in that case the data stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Fonts
Web fonts are bundled with the Site and served from the same host. No requests are made to Google Fonts or other font providers when you load a page.
Links to other sites
Posts link to banks' and card issuers' websites so you can verify offers. Once you leave the Site, the destination's privacy policy applies. We have no affiliate relationships, so no identifier about you is passed to those sites by us.
Children
The Site is general-audience content about credit cards and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal information about visitors, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or you have a privacy question or complaint, contact us at hello@pointcrunch.ca and we will respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If our practices change, for example if we add analytics or a newsletter, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
