  • Bonus for new Neo customers only: not if you already have a Neo card or account (Neo Mortgage and Neo Invest are fine)
  • Not available in Quebec
  1. Check you qualify Income: $80,000 personal or $150,000 household. You need to live in Canada and be the age of majority in your province.
  2. Have this ready Your address and how long you've lived there, your employer and yearly income, and your monthly rent or mortgage. Your SIN is optional for a credit card; you can leave it blank.
  3. Expect a credit check Applying adds a hard inquiry to your credit report, which lowers your score a little for a few months. Space applications about 90 days apart.
  4. Apply on Neo's own site Apply online from the bank's product page, where the offer above is shown. This isn't an affiliate link: we earn nothing if you apply.Apply on Neo's site →
  5. After you're approved Put the spending needed for the welcome offer on the card before the deadline, and pay the full balance every month.

How to use it

  • Welcome offer: 15,000 Asia Miles on activation, 20,000 more after $5,000 in 3 months. New Neo customers only: if you hold any Neo card or account, assume you don't qualify
  • Cathay Pacific tickets: buy at cathaypacific.com/ca while logged in, and be on the booking. The product page says 4 miles per $1; Neo's help centre says 2
  • Flight discount: code CXNEO15OFF for up to 15% off, on flights booked by December 31, 2026
  • Spending abroad: 2 miles per $1 minus a 3% fee nets −1% to +1%. $1,000 abroad earns 2,000 miles ($20–$40) and costs $30 in fees. Use a card with no foreign-exchange fee
  • Everything in Canada: 1 mile per $1
  • Example: $800/month groceries + $250 gas + $250 dining + $300 bills = 19,200 Asia Miles a year, worth $192–$384 if a mile is worth 1–2¢ (our assumption), $12–$204 after the $180 fee
