How to use it
- First 6 statements: spend $6,000 for 25,000 points (10,000 on first purchase + 15,000)
- First 12 statements: reach $12,000 for the last 25,000. They post at the one-year mark, so cancelling earlier loses them
- Groceries, gas, EV charging, Air Canada direct: 1.5 points per $1
- Everything else: use a card that pays more than 1 point per $1
- From January 12, 2027: fee rises to $159 ($80 per extra card). You can cancel at no cost until February 11, 2027
- Example: $800/month groceries + $250/month gas + $550/month dining and bills = 25,500 points a year, about $510 in flights at ~2¢ a point (our estimate)
